Not as easy as 1-2-3: Gonzaga trying to find the range from behind the 3-point line

Gonzaga currently has a love-hate relationship with the 3-point line. The eighth-ranked Zags were on target early with their two best 3-point shooting percentages (41.9 vs. Baylor and 45.5 vs. UMass Lowell) in the season’s first three games. The last month has been rough. In the Zags’ last six games, they’ve made just 29.8%

Defenses could determine top 10 battle between high-powered Gonzaga, Kentucky

Gonzaga players and coaches were interested spectators monitoring Kentucky’s road loss to Clemson on television earlier this week with the Wildcats next on the Zags’ schedule. The Wildcats reminded senior guard Nolan Hickman of another team in blue jerseys that the Zags used to face in the West Coast Conference. Makes sense since Kentucky’s head coach Mark Pope spent the previous five years at BYU.

NIL-driven tournaments could be a game-changer on future holiday hoops schedules

Is there room for traditional tournaments like Maui, a mainstay for four decades, and the Battle 4 Atlantis, which began in 2011, to continue thriving and/or co-exist with NIL-driven counterparts? Will NIL-driven tournaments have staying power and become regular additions to the holiday tournament slate?
