Pitching faith in the Inland Northwest

Since 1879, Seventh-day Adventists have come together in the Inland Northwest for “camp meetings,” where they gather “for a time of worship and inspiration.”

In 1915, the event lined a local street in Spokane.

For their 133 meeting, Adventists have erected a 19,000-square-foot tent on the grounds of the Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle this weekend. More than 2,500 people are expected to attend.
