The nightcap Friday at Joe Albi Stadium may have been a showdown between winless teams but it was nothing short of entertaining. North Central moved up and down the field as the Indians held off the Rogers Pirates 47-32 in a Greater Spokane League football game that didn’t feature much defense.

Smoke screen can’t hide win from Mead

The Mead football team was slowed down by the smoke that wafted through the region Friday. Air quality was the only thing that could slow down the Panthers as they put a 41-7 licking of the Lewis and Clark Tigers in a Greater Spokane League football game at Joe Albi Stadium.

The nightcap Friday at Joe Albi Stadium may have been a showdown between winless teams – and on paper stacked up as perhaps a snoozer – it was nothing short of entertaining from the outset.
