PULLMAN – The first question asked of Stanford coach David Shaw during Tuesday’s Pac-12 coaches teleconference was if he had an urge to drop the microphone on the media after his team beat USC, by asking reporters if there were any more questions about his play selection. “I’ll say that it was never an option,” Shaw replied. “I won’t say that something like that didn’t cross my mind.”

Washington State’s defense provides difference in win over Wyoming

PULLMAN – The game-clinching touchdown Washington State’s offense scored to secure its 31-14 win over Wyoming on Saturday was spoon fed by a defense that had done everything short of scoring itself to ensure a victory. The 4-yard touchdown pass Luke Falk threw to Dom Williams with 2 minutes left in Saturday’s contest was set up by Jeremiah Allison’s interception and return to the Cowboys’ 12-yard line.

PULLMAN – Martin Stadium has changed a lot since Jerome Harrison raced up and down its sidelines on the way to the 2005 college football rushing title. Harrison and the rest of the 25 inductees into the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame sat at midfield on Saturday and marveled at the changes to WSU’s stadium since the days when some of them made it shake under the crowd’s roar.
