Witnesses told police Robert R. Ellison, 37, and another man competed in a rap battle that resulted in an argument and punches being thrown, according to court documents. One of the punches knocked Ellison to the ground, causing him to hit his head and die from his injuries.

Man accused of Harmon Park shooting pleads guilty to lesser charge

Mason J. Bolton, 20, who was originally facing more than 11 years in prison for the shooting of another man in Harmon Park in August, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Wednesday after police did not locate a gun and were unable to conduct follow-up interviews with the victim.
