Breaking from a halftime tie, the host Greyhounds (4-1, 10-4) solidified their hold on second place by holding the Blackhawks (2-3, 2-11) to 5-of-20 shooting from the floor in the second half.

Pullman made seven 3-pointers. Matt Wilde led the Greyhounds with seven rebounds. Rich DeMulling of Cheney had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Greg Jones made 12 of 13 free throws and scored 26 as the eighth-ranked Eagles (5-0, 12-2) reached the league halfway point with a perfect mark by defeating the visiting Knights (0-5, 0-14).

David Schillinger hit all seven of his free-throw attempts, scored 22 and had five assists for WV. Jones added 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.

EV’s Cory Huston scored 17 of his 22 in the second half.

League scoring leader Matt Smith had three 3-pointers and scored 25 as the visiting Indians (3-2, 7-7) defeated the Bantams (1-4, 1-11).

The Indians jumped to a big lead with their full-court press. Clarkston’s Matt Chatigny had 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Jenny Hoots had 18 points and 12 rebounds as the sixth-ranked Blackhawks (5-0, 14-0) overcame a deficit by holding the host Greyhounds (2-3, 7-7) to two field goals in the fourth quarter.

Cheney used a full-court press the entire game and dominated the fourth quarter by forcing turnovers. Pullman outrebounded Cheney 42-30. Melissa Schlettert had 17 points, 12 rebounds, six steals and five assists for Pullman.

Krissy Burt scored 27, and she and Crystal Poskey scored four points apiece in overtime to lead the Bantams (2-3, 4-11) over the Indians (3-2, 7-7).

Amy Metcalf had 12 rebounds for Clarkston. Chris Brozik of Colville scored 21 and sent the game into OT by hitting a free throw with 11 seconds left.

Brenda Hall scored 13 and Janel Jensen had 11 rebounds as the Knights (1-4, 2-10) beat the Eagles (2-3, 5-9) at WV.

The Eagles had a hot fourth quarter and hit a 3-pointer to start OT. WV’s Kaci Stansbury had 18 points and divided 30 rebounds with Colleen Lawler.
