Donald Audette scored two of Buffalo’s four power-play goals and stopped New Jersey on 8 of 9 extra-man chances in a 5-4 win on Saturday.
“Our power play and penalty killing right now is going very well,” said Audette, who also added two assists as the Sabres won their third straight. “That’s why we are winning.”
Defenseman Alexei Zhitnik added a goal and three assists and Dominik Hasek had 43 saves as the Sabres also snapped the Devils’ four-game (3-0-1) unbeaten streak.

Bourque recorded his first multiple-goal game of the season to give Boston its first victory in four tries. The loss ended a four-game unbeaten streak for the Blues as Grant Fuhr, who had allowed six goals in the previous five games, was pulled after 50 minutes and four goals.
