Cider Sipping
Fresh apple cider is satisfying enough straight from the jug. But when you heat it up and toss in a cinnamon stick, it’s transformed into a festive, warming winter treat.
Gourmet Apple Cider from Green Bluff’s Harvest House and Orchard is made with one-third tart apples and two-thirds sweet apples, resulting in a “unique little bite,” according to coowner Gordon Beck. Which makes for a tasty sip indeed.
Price: $2.99-$3.50 for 1 gallon, $1.70-$1.95 for a half-gallon.
Available: At Harvest House (238-6970) and in Spokane at all Rosauers, Tidyman’s, Yoke’s Pac ‘N Save, Albertson’s and Super 1 supermarkets, some Excell stores and Harry O’s Fresh Market.
