Billy Graham Cancels Australian Visit

Compiled From Wire Services

Billy Graham will not be visiting Australia and New Zealand next year as planned.

Doctors have advised the evangelist to cancel his crusades in February and March.

Graham, 77, suffers from Parkinson’s disease. His doctors say they are concerned the strain of the tour could worsen his condition.

This summer, Graham collapsed while giving a speech in Toronto. He was hospitalized for a bleeding colon.

Graham says he regrets calling off the tour. A statement released Wednesday by his organization said he intends to take the time to be with his ailing wife.
