OKANOGAN AT WHITWORTH

Okanogan takes on Whitworth (1-1) at 7 p.m. at the Whitworth Fieldhouse.

At a glance: Whitworth is led in scoring and rebounding by senior forward Nate Dunham, who is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per contest.

Meanwhile, Pirates coach Warren Friedrichs plans on moving off-guard Roman Wickers to the shooting guard position to give Wickers a chance to create more shots and find teammates.

Wickers has struggled as the off-guard, shooting just 5 for 30 this season, including 4 of 16 in a recent loss to Carroll College.

Last year, the Pirates beat Okanogan 84-43 and 94-68.

NORTH IDAHO AT SPOKANE

North Idaho College takes on Spokane, which is opening its season, at 8 p.m. at Spokane Community College.

At a glance: NIC traditionally has dominated Spokane. The Cardinals have a deep squad and have been able to use numerous players in three easy wins.

NIC also lost narrowly to Townsville, an Australian team that beat Washington State. Spokane has several players with ties to North Idaho - sophomore forward Kris Hampton and center Mark Hegbloom, who was at NIC last year, are from Wallace, and Kyle York is a freshman guard from Priest River.

The Sasquatch are coming off an 8-15 season.
