Local Students Named To WSU’s Honor Roll

Several Washington State University students from the Inland Northwest earned special recognition by being named to the President’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

They are:

Bonners Ferry: Sharon Harms.

Coeur d’ Alene: Connie Aker, Courtney Elmore and Bryan Pike.

Hayden: Kathy Doto.

Moscow: Michelle Antolovich, Tammy McCafferty, Jennifer Cavalieri, Darcy Coffen, Tami Dial, Deborah Frazier, Rocky Freudenberg, Kimberly Gibson, Kathryn Grant, Sarah Maki, Christina Miller, Holly Nelson, Eugenia Park, Jamie Pilcher, Shelley Ringo and Candice Ward.

Moyie Springs: Colleen Flannigan.

Post Falls: Nathan Clairmont and Cheri Savag.

Rathdrum: Anna Wollenburg.

Sagle: Allan King.

Sandpoint: Patricia Evans.

In Montana

Kalispell: Ethan Chute.

Libby: Toni Baeth.

Troy: Archibald Harner.

Ron Hill, superintendent of the Kootenai Joint School District, has been named Superintendent of the Year for Idaho. He was nominated by the Kootenai school board and voted upon by his Idaho peers.

Under Hill’s leadership, the district built a new elementary school, cafeteria, weight room, bus shop and a combined library. Student test scores have improved in the district as well as the teacher salary schedule.

He will represent Idaho in the American Association of School Administrators’ National Superintendent of the Year.
