Moon’s Wife Takes Blame

At Richmond, Texas, the wife of quarterback Warren Moon said she blocked a plea bargain that would have settled the spouse abuse case against her husband because she was responsible for the fight that prompted the charges.

Felicia Moon, testifying for a second day, blamed herself for the heated argument July 18 that escalated into violence and led to misdemeanor charges against the Minnesota Vikings quarterback.

Two former Washington State University teammates, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Phillip Bobo and Houston Oilers defensive back Tory Hunter, will reunite as members of the World League of American Football’s Amsterdam Admirals.

Both players were allocated to the WLAF by their respective teams for the 1996 season.

The Dallas Cowboys hired former Cleveland Browns assistant Jim Bates to replace linebackers coach Jim Eddy, who was hired by Detroit as the Lions’ defensive coordinator.

The Carolina Panthers signed former Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Greg Skrepenak.
