White Sox Select Sandpoint Ace Lindgren

Sandpoint High school pitcher Mike Lindgren was drafted Wednesday by the Chicago White Sox on the second day of the three-day amateur draft, his mother confirmed.

It was believed that Lindgren was selected in the 31st round. But Lindgren wasn’t home when a White Sox scout called.

Women’s basketball

University of Idaho women’s basketball recruit Suzy Goss was involved in a pool accident Monday in Mexico and suffered a neck injury.

She has a full range of motion and will have surgery today to repair her C-7 disk. “We expect a complete recovery,” said Dave Goss, Suzy’s father.

Goss signed with Idaho during the early signing period last fall.
