Nebraska Storms To Nit Semifinals

Erick Strickland scored 17 points and Mikki Moore added 14 Friday as Nebraska punctuated its dramatic turnaround with an 83-71 win over Fresno State to advance to the NIT semifinals.

Jaron Boone added 13 points for Nebraska (19-14), which has rebounded from a nine-game losing streak to win four of the past five. Nebraska eliminated Washington State 82-73 on Tuesday.

Nebraska overcame a 13-point deficit and 17 first-half turnovers.

The Bulldogs (22-11), in Jerry Tarkanian’s first season as coach, had their best record in 11 seasons.
