Koentopp Death Accidental
The death of Espy Koentopp, wife of former Spokane Indians owner Larry Koentopp, was ruled accidental, Metro Police said.
Mrs. Koentopp’s body was discovered on Sept. 23 in a remote area about 12 miles west of Las Vegas. It appeared that the woman had suffered fatal injuries in a fall while hiking in Red Rock State Park.
Her disappearance in early September set off an extensive police search.
Larry Koentopp, who moved the Pacific Coast League Indians to Las Vegas in 1982, is a former athletic director and coach at Gonzaga University.
