Jockey Wins Seven At Ascot

Compiled From Wire Services

Italian jockey Frankie Dettori made English racing history by winning all seven races at the Ascot meet, including the $310,000 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes aboard Mark of Esteem.

It was the first time in England that a jockey won seven races at one meet in one day.

Mark Of Esteem, winner of the 2,000 Guineas Classic, charged past unbeaten Bosra Sham in the final 400 yards to win the Queen Elizabeth, England’s 1-mile championship race for 3-year-olds.
