Lakeside Captures North Star Title

Lakeside clinched the North Star League boys basketball title Thursday - despite a tough shooting night - by stopping Mullan 59-53 at Plummer.

The Knights (16-1, 7-0) shot 34 percent from the field, 15 percent lower than their season average. Lakeside held the Tigers (15-5, 6-2) to 40 percent shooting from the floor.

Chris Angle scored 21 and Al Sisk 20 for Mullan. Brendon Nelson had five rebounds and two blocked shots, and Glen Lambert six rebounds and four steals for the winners.
