Starbucks’ New Ice Cream Very Rich

Rick Bonino Food Editor

Given all the fat-free desserts and frozen dinners that The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel valiantly gulps down, it’s fun to reward them something really good once in a while. (Besides, it encourages them to keep coming back, on the off chance it will happen again.)

Even before we cracked the carton, we figured we had a winner on our hands with Starbucks’ Biscotti Bliss, one of the new ice cream flavors from the Seattle coffee company. Its idea of “cookies and cream” consists of crisp, chocolate-dipped biscotti pieces and a fudge swirl in creamy coffee ice cream.

The panelists loved it. Maybe they’ll stick around now for a few more months.

Starbucks Biscotti Bliss Ice Cream Price: $4.39 for 1 quart.

“Super-ultra heavenly flavor. This would never make it from the store to home. … It’s too good.” - Jan Robison
