When Theresa and Jim Curran began making Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Brownies at their Something Else Deli in Spokane, they didn’t expect to have such a hit on their hands.

“When we started selling them, we found we just couldn’t keep them in stock,” Theresa says.

Today, the rich brownies - made with chocolate chips, marshmallows and pecans - are the deli’s top seller, baked daily (or sometimes twice a day) to keep up with the demand. How now, brownie crowd?

Price: $1.10 each.

Available: In Spokane at the Something Else Deli, 152 S. Sherman (747-0949), weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
