Spray-On Spiciness

Sure, it adds a lot of flavor to a recipe, but garlic is an awful lot of work.

First you have to peel it. Then you have to crush it (and clean out the little holes in the press), or mince it (and scrub to get the garlic smell off your fingers).

But Garlic Valley Farms of Glendale, Calif., makes the whole process as easy as pushing a button with its bottled garlic juice spray. A few spritzes just before serving are all you need to accent a salad, some garlic bread, or the entree of the day.

You could say it gives a whole new meaning to “garlic press.”

Price: $4.99 for 8 ounces.
