Compiled From Wire Services

Pat Hurst shot a 5-under-par 67 for a share of the first-round lead with Brandie Burton and Michelle McGann in the Edina Realty Classic women’s golf tournament in Maple Grove, Minn.

Tracy Hanson of Rathdrum, Idaho, was a stroke back along with Kris Tschetter, Leta Lindley and rookie Erika Wicoff. Robin Walton of Clarkston shot a 71. Hall of Famer Betsy King had a hole-in-one on the 125-yard 15th hole, using a pitching wedge.

Jim Colbert, trying to end the longest winless streak of his senior career, shot his second straight 6-under-par 65 to take a one-stroke lead in the du Maurier Champions in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Colbert, an 18-time senior winner and the tour’s money leader the last two seasons, holed a difficult 10-foot birdie putt on the final hole for the circuit’s lowest 36-hole total of the year.
