Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

Have a hankerin’ for a good ol’ fried-banana-and-peanut-butter sandwich, a la King?

Mosey on down to Memphis come May for the grand opening of an eating and entertainment complex called Elvis Presley’s Memphis, on the city’s famed Beale Street.

The menu will feature “American Cuisine with a Southern Twist,” presumedly including all those cholesterol-laden concoctions that The King loved so much.

“Memphis is the only place in the world that Elvis truly considered home,” says the late singer’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley.

“We are creating a place where Elvis, who was a consummate host and entertainer, would have enjoyed entertaining his friends between road tours and filming movies.”

Loose talk

Matt Dillon, on how his dates should behave: “I’ll tell you one thing she should never do: hit on the waiter. Because she may end up with the waiter, and the bill, at the end of the night.”

As far as food, he’s on a different planet

Bruce Willis turns 42 today.

It’s the constant pitter-patter of little freaks

Courtney Love says she’s selling the Seattle mansion where her late rock star husband, Kurt Cobain, committed suicide three years ago - making it an instant teen tourist attraction. “I have a nice house, but I can’t live there,” she told London’s Independent on Sunday newspaper. “Kids everywhere all the time.”

Guess she doesn’t want her baby buggy

Kim Basinger may be an animal rights activist, but even she knows when to draw the line. “I have a baby and New York apartments are sometimes full of rats and cockroaches,” the actress tells Movieline magazine. “I haven’t had the experience, but if one jumped on me, let me tell you that sucker would be dead in about one second!”

They came, they slawed, they conquered

Former shock rocker Alice Cooper, who used to be greeted by dead chickens, got pelted with vegetables by his children in a variety show at their Phoenix school. “Dad, you are in trouble! Well, we figured he was saving up for nine

Andrew Lloyd Webber will auction more than 18,000 bottles from his vast wine collection at Sotheby’s in London in May. An auction house spokeswoman noted that the “Cats” composer realized he had “collected enough wine for at least five lifetimes.”

It was a scramble, but Jodie won her over easy

Finally, Jodie Foster’s Egg Pictures snapped up the movie rights to “Alias Grace,” Margaret Atwood’s latest book. “I love the name of the production company,” Atwood, tells People magazine. “I’ve always been very fond of eggs. I put eggs in my books a lot.”
