Eight cities have put up money in a bid to be the U.S. site for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Baltimore, Cincinnati, Houston, New Orleans, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington sent in the required documents and $100,000 bid fee by the May 1 deadline, the U.S. Olympic Committee announced.
