Davis Cup Lineups Selected
Pete Sampras will join Michael Chang, Todd Martin and Alex O’Brien on the U.S. team that will face Sweden in the Davis Cup final next week.
Jonas Bjorkman will lead a Swedish team that also includes Magnus Larsson, Thomas Enqvist and Nicklas Kulti for the Nov. 28-30 final in Goteborg, Sweden.
The teams are the same lineups fielded by both countries in the semifinals when the United States defeated Australia and Sweden beat Italy.
U.S. captain Tom Gullikson is expected to select Sampras and Chang for singles, with Bjorkman and Enqvist playing singles for Sweden.
Sweden’s top doubles pairing is Bjorkman and Kulti. Martin is expected to play doubles for the Americans with Sampras or O’Brien.
