Rear-Ender Leads To Death Of 3
A car that rear-ended another car triggered a chain-reaction collision that killed three people, the Washington State Patrol said.
The accident happened Thursday night on Washington 28.
A car driven by Veronica Sierra rear-ended a car driven by Stanley Woods that had slowed to make a left turn off the highway, the state patrol said.
The collision pushed Woods’ car into the path of an oncoming, westbound car driven by Darrell Allen, the state patrol said.
Woods, 51, of Quincy, and Allen, 54, of East Wenatchee, were declared dead at area hospitals.
Stephanie Woods, 14, a passenger in her father’s car, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died Friday.
Sierra, 20, of Ephrata, and a passenger in her car suffered neck and back injuries.
