Dear Heloise: We keep color-coordinated flying discs in each of the seat pockets in our car. We use these as plates or trays while eating in the car. An inexpensive 9-inch paper plate fits inside the flying disc and the plate can be thrown away after its use.

Dear Heloise: As a day-care provider (home-based), I have found that toddlers always want their food cut up.

I found a pizza cutter works great for almost everything - pancakes, waffles, French toast, sandwiches. Just roll one direction, then the other.

It works fast and is easier than cutting using a fork and knife. I bought a couple so they are always handy! - Donna Ireland, Philipsburg, Pa.
