Area Residents Proceed With Military Careers

Capt. Kim E. London, daughter of Micki and David Kramp of Post Falls, was promoted in the Air Force to her present rank.

London, who received a bachelor’s degree in 1989 from the University of Maryland and earned a doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1996, is an assistant staff judge advocate with the 97th Air Mobility Wing at Altus Air Force Base, Okla.

Army Pvt. Chris D. Misita, a 1996 graduate of Post Falls High School and son of Bonnie Misita of Post Falls, has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Army Pvt. Darian R. Sutton, has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He is the son of Carl E. Sutton of Rathdrum, Idaho and Julia Evans of Fullerton, Calif.

Eric Beiber, son of Lawrence and Eileen Beiber, has enlisted in the Army Reserve as a construction equipment repairer and finished his basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Beiber will be a member of company B, 321st Engineer Battalion in Hayden Lake when his basic and advanced individual training are complete.

Erik VanZandt, son of Caroline Hansen of Coeur d’Alene and Elmer VanZandt of Rathdrum, and husband of Eileen Van Zandt of Coeur d’Alene, has enlisted in the Army Reserve’s Delayed Training Program as a heavy-wheel vehicle maintenance mechanic and has departed for basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

After basic and advanced individual training, he will be a member of Company B, 321st Engineer Battalion in Hayden Lake.

Michael P. Homer, son of Larry and Christine Homer, has enlisted in the Infantry and departed for basic training at Fort Benning, Ga.

Charlie J. Hobbs, son of Charles Hobbs of Post Falls and Juanita Hobbs of California, has enlisted in the army as a heavy-wheel vehicle mechanic and recently departed for basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

Hobbs, a 1995 graduate of Post Falls High School, has enrolled in the G.I. Bill for up to $15,403 toward full-time schooling.

Air Force Senior Airman Shawn M. Hoye, brother of Jenni Washburn of Post Falls, has arrived for duty at Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa, Japan.

Hoye, a 1994 graduate of Post Falls High School, is a security policeman assigned to the 18th Security Police Squadron.
