Blm Seeks Members For Advisory Councils
The Bureau of Land Management is looking for people to serve on its advisory councils.
Council members provide advice and recommendations to the BLM on managing 11.9 million acres of public land in Idaho. Members are appointed for three-year terms beginning Aug. 20.
There are five members on each of the three councils. Two positions are related to mining and grazing, two are related to Native American tribes and academics, one is related to environmental issues.
One of the councils serves the Lower Snake River Region, one the Upper Columbia, Salmon and Clearwater area and the third focuses on BLM lands in Idaho in the Upper Snake River drainage.
