Guess She’s Interested In More Than One Thing

Compiled By Staff Writer Rick Bo

Following 41 years of single life, hanging out at a mansion with scantily clad beauties lounging around, did anyone really expect Hugh Hefner to stay married?

The Playboy magazine founder and his former Playmate of the Year wife, Kimberly Conrad Hefner, announced a trial separation Tuesday, citing “differing interests.” She will live on property adjoining the mansion with their children, Marston, 7, and Cooper, 6.

Hefner, 71, who had divorced from first wife Mildred Williams in 1958, married the 34-year-old Conrad in 1989.

Two years ago, he said they had settled into a quieter existence: “The weekends are spent with friends and family, having a buffet, good conversation and watching a classic film.”

Loose talk

Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, on sugar and Spice Girls (in New York’s Daily News): “We do get chubby and eat what we want. I think that is the main thing we want to get across, especially to young children. You should not have to be a specific way, like these magazines tell you.”

How about another piece of cake, there, Baby?

Emma Bunton turns 20 today.

They pass their time in idol conversation

Former Playboy playmate Pamela Anderson Lee, on keeping the spark alive in her marriage to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee: “On Mother’s Day, Tommy worships me every few hours. He gets down on the ground, puts his arms up, and bows down to me. I do that to him every once in a while, too. You really get points if you do it in front of other people: ‘Oh, Tommy, how does it feel to be worshiped!’ He just stands there with a big smile.”

So, this story has yet to reach its climax

Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt, who was convicted on obscenity charges in Cincinnati in 1977, says he plans to again start selling adult-oriented videos at a bookstore he opened in the city last fall. “I’m going to give them one more shot at me,” Flynt said. “This is unfinished business.”

That’s how they get the mold of the beautiful

Darlene Conley of “The Bold and The Beautiful” has become the first American soap opera star to be immortalized in wax at London’s famed Madame Tussaud’s Museum. “I had this beautiful young man under my skirt for hours,” Conley tells TV Guide. “They measure and photograph every single inch of you from every single angle … at this point, the sculptor knows me better than my ex-husband.”

Sounds like just another night at Hef’s place

Meanhile, the Tussaud’s museum in Australia is having a hard time keeping up with maintenance on its Elle Macpherson figure. Since the exhibit opened in October, thousands have posed for souvenir pictures, rubbing off the replica’s skin coloring, scratching its arms and leaving a greasy residue from sweaty palms on its skimpy costume.
