Baste Fruit In Mint Butter When Grilling

Detroit Free Press

Mint butter can be used to baste fruits for grilling, according to the Michigan Herb Journal. Just chop the mint and add it to the butter as it melts. Brush the mixture on fruit and grill until it is hot and lightly browned.

Here are some grilling methods and times:

Apples: Core and cut into rings. Grill about three minutes on each side.

Figs: Cut in half lengthwise and thread onto skewers. Grill two minutes on each side.

Melons: Peel, seed and cut into wedges. Grill 1-1/2 minutes on each side.

Papayas: Peel, seed and cut into rings. Grill 2-1/2 minutes on each side.

Pineapple: Peel, core and cut into rings. Grill three minutes on each side.
