Vandals hit the Woodland Middle School construction site again Sunday, causing about $5,000 in damage, police said.

It is at least the tenth time since July 1997 that the school, which is scheduled to open this fall, has been vandalized.

In Sunday’s incident, about 30 sprinkler heads were broken off and red paint was sprayed on the building, on construction equipment and throughout the site, police said.

Vandals have caused about $18,000 in damage in previous incidents at the school, police said.
