Up On The Mountain With Everclear

For those who missed Everclear’s recent visit to Spokane, there’s good news. The Northwest pop punk favorites return to the Inland Northwest this week for a show at the Silver Mountain amphitheater in Kellogg, Idaho.

The Portland-based band known for crunchy-smart rock numbers like “Everything to Everyone” and “Heroin Girl” sold out their show at The Met earlier this year within eight minutes of the tickets going on sale. The show itself was riotous fun rife with crackling energy.

The band, fronted by singer/songwriter Art Alexakis, also boasts a Spokane son. Bassist Craig Montoya grew up in Spokane and graduated from Mead High School.

Everclear performs at Silver Mountain Resort Tuesday. Marcy Playground, the band responsible for the radio-invading song “Sex and Candy” plays the middle spot. Fastball opens the show.

Music starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $21 in advance, $23 at the door, available through G&B Select-A-Seat outlets or by calling (800) 325-SEAT. The gondola ride up the mountain is included in the price of the ticket. There is no snow ot the mountain-top theater but you’re advised to dress warmly.
