Police arrested two people on drug-making charges and a third for obstructing officers Tuesday following the discovery of an alleged drug lab.

Chad Sharp, 27, and Jayleen Spoor, 18, both of Pinehurst were booked into the Shoshone County Jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. Sharp also was being held Wednesday on a felony warrant out of Benton County, Wash., while Spoor also faces a misdemeanor charge of obstructing officers who tried to arrest Sharp.

Police who approached Sharp in the 500 block of Oregon Street said Spoor and her 35-year-old mother, Kelly, who also was arrested on an obstruction charge, interfered. Officers arrested all three and discovered evidence that led them to seek a warrant to search a home on the West Fork of Moon Gulch, said Pinehurst police Chief Brad Kitchen.

At the Moon Gulch home, Shoshone County Narcotics Task Force officers and state Criminal Investigation Bureau agents found a suspected working methamphetamine lab, Kitchen said.
