Home, Car Windows Shattered By Bullets
Bullets shattered a living room window and a car window in separate shootings over the weekend, police said.
On Saturday, a woman on Honeysuckle Drive and her husband heard a loud bang about 4 a.m. They thought it was a car backfiring and went back to sleep.
When they awoke, they found a hole from a large-caliber bullet in their double-paned picture window, police said.
The bullet passed through the window and lodged inside a wall across the living room, directly above the couch where her husband was sleeping, police said.
In the other incident, a man noticed a shattered window of a red 1996 Subaru Outback at Coeur d’Alene Nissan Subaru, 1701 N. Fourth St., police said.
The bullet created a half-inch hole in the drivers’ side hood and a one-inch hole in the windshield.
