Shelley Ann Originals Easy-Bake cookie mixes are so simple a child could make them.

In fact, kids help you get started. Shelley Ann Bacon of Colville, Wash., hires teens from Colville Valley Adventist School to pack the dry ingredients, in three varieties: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Butterscotch and M&M. All you have to do is add eggs, oil and water.

A portion of the proceeds goes to support the school. Guess you could call them some smart cookies.

Price: About $5 for a 2-pound container (makes two dozen cookies).

Available: At most Spokane area and North Idaho supermarket chains (except Safeway) and in Spokane at the Adventist Book Center.
