Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a kidnapping suspect Monday evening after searching for him for nearly a day.

Joyce M. Woodward, 45, Moyie Springs, had been reported abducted at gunpoint by her estranged boyfriend Sunday evening, prompting a search of Bonner and Boundary counties.

Woodward returned home in good condition by 11 a.m. Monday, and deputies apprehended suspect Mark James Tyler, 31, at his residence at 6:51 p.m.

Tyler is being held in the Boundary County Jail on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges.
