Shoshone District Board Changes Meeting Time

The East Shoshone Hospital District board will meet tonight at 6:30, a new time meant to make its monthly proceedings more available to the public. The board formerly met in the late afternoon.

The trustees will meet in the vacant Silver Valley Medical Center in Silverton. One topic will be the status of the district’s bankruptcy. A confirmation hearing will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Coeur d’Alene.

New board chairman Ed Eckel said Tuesday that he will also discuss economic measures for the district, such as cutting back on insurance premiums.
