Produce expected to be available this week at area farmers’ markets (depending on weather; shop early for best selection):

Spokane MarketPlace (Wednesday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., DeSmet and Ruby): cherries, spring greens, salad mix, radishes, green onions, assorted herbs, sprouts, rhubarb, asparagus, English cucumbers, green beans, edible flowers, apples, bedding plants.

The New Farmers’ Market (Wednesday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., First Covenant Church parking lot at Second and Division in Spokane): strawberries, sugar snap peas, Chinese peas, garlic, sweet onions, green onions, bok choy, turnips, bedding plants, herb plants, fruit and berry bushes, collards, kale, arugula, Swiss chard, salad mix, mustard greens, spinach, watercress, lettuce (red leaf, green leaf, green butter, red butter), assorted herbs, edible flowers, white radish, red radish.

Kootenai County Farmers’ Market (Wednesday 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Highway 95 and Prairie Avenue in Coeur d’Alene): lettuce mix, edible flowers, herb plants, radishes, endive, escarole, green onions, lettuce (romaine, butter, green leaf, red leaf), kale, mustard greens, assorted herbs, broccoli, rhubarb, Swiss chard, baby spinach, hothouse tomatoes, arugula, cauliflower, baby carrots, beets, sugar peas, vegetable plants, strawberries, new potatoes.

Farmers’ Market at Sandpoint (Wednesday 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to noon, at Farmin Park, Third and Main): assorted lettuces, salad mix, radishes, garlic greens, baby onions, bok choy, assorted herbs, rhubarb, asparagus, spinach, baby onions, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower.
