From Staff

Boundary County school board member Jim Collyer has announced his resignation from the board, citing personal reasons.

Collyer has served on the school board since 1995 in Zone 3, which encompasses Bonners Ferry east of Highway 95 and part of the Paradise Valley.

The Boundary County School District is accepting applications for a new Zone 3 trustee. Interested applicants must write a letter outlining their background and interest in the position.

Letters of interest are due to school district business manager Sharon Smith at the district administration office by 4 p.m. June 2.

Candidates are invited to attend the June 8 trustee meeting for an informal interview. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the junior high cafeteria/library.
