Ted Arison, an American-Israeli businessman who became one of the richest men in the world and was one of the original partners of the NBA’s Miami Heat, died in Jerusalem of a heart attack. He was 75.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed 6-foot-9 forward Stephen Howard. Howard played with four NBA teams in four seasons since joining Utah in 1992. He played in Greece last season.

Menifee, who ran second in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness to Charismatic, is the 9-5 favorite to win today’s $500,000 Super Derby at Louisiana Downs.
