Where To Help On Make A Difference Day

Make a Difference Day activities on Saturday will include plenty of opportunities for people to help out the community.

Here’s a list of organizations, activities and needs.

Hayden Fire Department will have an open house, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with demonstrations and free hot dogs.

A spaghetti feed from 5 to 8 p.m. will raise money for the K-9 unit. The meal will cost adults $4 and children $3.

Three Cs will sell tulips at the Silver Lake Mall to raise money for the North Idaho Cancer Center.

Girl Scouts need supplies and volunteers to build a fence at Oasis House in Post Falls. Call Jani Chadwick, 773-5702.

First Priority Clubs in the Coeur d’Alene School District will collect clothes for children ages 6-12. Call Chris Herbert, 687-3606.

Camp Fire will collect gloves and socks for children at Silver Lake Mall. They will deliver donations to local agencies.

Young Community Builders is looking for building projects. Call Desire Bensen, 772-0584, ext. 3031.

Life Care Center is collecting toys, toiletries and school supplies to fill shoeboxes headed overseas. Representatives will be at the Silver Lake Mall on Saturday.

Boy Scouts of America has nothing planned for Saturday, but will have a community food drive Nov. 1-7. To help out, call Mike Jensen at 772-2455.
