Comment Sought On Prairie Project
County leaders are hoping to get public input this week for the next phase of the Rathdrum Prairie Project.
In the first phase, a steering committee reviewed existing land use policies for the 100 square miles of land that represent the area’s growth corridor.
Three open houses this week are seeking input for the implementation strategy. Those ideas will be used to help local leaders set policy for future growth.
The open houses will take place today from noon to 3 p.m. at the Rathdrum Grange on Highway 41, near Boeckel Road.
The second open house will be at 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday at the Kootenai County Administration Building, 451 Government Way, in Coeur d’Alene.
The third open house, also on Wednesday, will be at 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Cloverleaf Grange on McQuire Road.
Residents with questions can call Kootenai County Planning Director Cheri Howell at 666-8268.
