Logging Operation Closes Forest Road
A U.S. Forest Service road northwest of Harvard, Idaho, will close temporarily, beginning today. Jerome Creek Road 788, which takes off from State Highway 6 about a mile and a half northwest of Harvard, will be closed until around the end of September.
The closure begins about 3 miles north of the highway and closes off the east fork of Road 788 along Boulder Creek.
A logging operation on private property adjacent to national forest land prompted the Forest Service to temporarily close the area for public safety.
