Ploetzner’S Production Lifts Hawks

Jamie Ploetzner helped the Lakeland Hawks open Intermountain League play in style.

Ploetzner scored 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting as the Hawks downed the host Bonners Ferry Badgers 61-48 in the first boys IML game of the season.

Miles Stephens dished out six assists for the Badgers.

Russ Baker scored 25 points, connecting on 9 of 18 from the floor and 7 of 11 from the line, to guide the Eagles over the Spartans at the Clark Fork Tournament.

Baker added 12 rebounds and four blocked shots for FC, and Ryan Collingwood had five steals.

FC will play in this afternoon’s championship game.
