Special Christmas Eve Services

This year churches will hold special services Christmas Eve. Here is a list of some of those events:

The Center of Light, 618 Wallace Ave. in Coeur d’Alene will hold a candle lighting service to “recognize the Christ light within each of us.” The service will feature a review of the Christmas Story as well as music and prayer. The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Information: 667-0462.

First Presbyterian Church, 521 Lakeside in Coeur d’Alene will hold evening services 7 and 11 p.m. At 7 p.m. there will be family worship and a children’s story. The 11 p.m. service will be more formal which will involve communion, Injoy Ringers, candles and choral music. Information: 667-8446.

Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Pennsylvania Ave. in Coeur d’Alene will have candlelight services at 5, 7 and 10 p.m. Services will include Holy Communion. Information: 664-9231.

Faith Presbyterian Church, 9485 Maple Place in Hayden will hold a Christmas Eve family caroling service at 7 p.m. and a joint candlelight worship service with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 10 p.m. Information: 772-5251.

St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 9485 Maple Place in Hayden will hold a Candlelight caroling service at 5 p.m. and a joint candlelight worship service with Faith Presbyterian Church at 10 p.m. Information: 772-5251.

Falls Christian Assemblies of God, Horsehaven Ave. in Post Falls will hold a family communion service from 6 to 7 p.m. Information: 773-4722.

St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft, will hold a Children’s Mass at 5 p.m where children will act out the gospel. At 9 p.m. and midnight the church will hold Mass with Christmas carols a half hour before the service. Information: 664-9259.

New Life Community Church will hold a candlelight service at 5 p.m. at 6000 Ramsey Rd. in Coeur d’Alene and 6100 W. Hayden Ave. in Rathdrum. Information: 687-3606.

Hayden Bible Church, 290 E. Miles Ave. in Hayden Lake will hold a candlelight communion service at 6 p.m. Information: 687-1707.

Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3115 N. 15th Street in Coeur d’Alene, will hold a candlelight service at 6 p.m. A children’s service will be included. Information: 664-3862.

Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave. in Coeur d’Alene, will hold evening services at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. At 6 p.m. the service will be a candlelight family-oriented service which will include a children’s choir. A traditional service will be held at 8 p.m. and a quiet, reflective service with communion will be at 10 p.m. Information: 765-8800.
