Burglars Return To Federal Prison

From Staff

A convicted burglar will return to prison after violating the conditions of his supervised release for the third time, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Donald J. Bohlman, 22, of Plummer, originally was sentenced to 15 months in prison and three years of supervised release in 1996 for burglary. Bohlman violated his release terms twice and served an additional 18 months in prison.

When he was released last September, he began violating his release by using drugs, failing to participate in drug treatment programs, not registering his change of address and not making monthly reports, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.

U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge ordered Bohlman to serve another six months in prison.

Bohlman will have served two years in prison beyond his original sentence because of release violations.

Thomas Jacob Aripa, 27, also of Plummer, who originally was convicted of aiding and abetting burglary, also will return to prison for violation the conditions of his release.

He, too, failed to participate in drug testing, failed to report a change in address and didn’t make monthly reports, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

He was sentenced to another nine months in prison.
