Boeing Engineers Vote To Strike

Boeing Co. engineers and technical workers will strike at 9 a.m. Wednesday after two days of last-ditch talks with a top federal mediator failed to bring agreement, a union spokesman said Tuesday night.

A rally was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Renton Memorial Stadium near the Renton plant of the giant Seattle-based aircraft manufacturer.

Technicians and engineers were expecting to walk out at Boeing’s Airway Heights plant by 9 a.m. today.
