Yvonne Wright Earns Image De Idaho Scholarship
Yvonne Wright, a University of Idaho student in Moscow, has been awarded a $1,000 Image de Idaho Scholarship for the 2000-01 academic year.
The scholarship program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Hispanics in employment, education, training, civil rights and social issues.
Army Pvt. 1st Class Matthew Allen graduated from basic military training and completed combat engineer school at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Allen is the son of Robert Allen, Worley, Idaho, and Maxine Enger, Spokane.
Allen is a 1998 graduate of West Valley High School and a 1999 graduate of Spokane Community College.
Area University of Idaho education students are currently student teaching during the spring semester. The student teaching experience is a requirement for teacher certification.
