Trojans Prevail Despite Themselves

What can be said about a night during which Post Falls shot 27 percent from the floor and its top scorer didn’t have a field goal?

How about: Another win for Post Falls.

Megan Kane and Carmi Eberle both hit two free throws in the final 1-1/2 minutes, lifting Post Falls to a 27-20 Border League win over visiting Moscow on Thursday.

The Trojans protected a 22-20 lead for 2 minutes before their late free throws. Aubree Johnson, PF’s top scorer at 11 points per game, didn’t have a field goal.

Moscow shot 8 for 39 (21 percent) from the floor.

Wrestling

Randy Davis (130 pounds), John Ferrie (135), Lance McLean (152) and Mike Gump (160) had pins Thursday to lead the Post Falls junior varsity to a 54-27 wrestling win at Timberlake.

Isaiah Williams (125), Ryan MacDonald (145) and Andy Flory (189) had pins for Timberlake. The Tigers (0-6) gave up 24 points on forfeits.
