Kaila Evenoff took first place Thursday night by piling up second-place finishes.

Evenoff, of Mead, placed second in all four events while winning the all-around competition and leading her Panthers to the team title during a four-way Greater Spokane League gymnastics meet at Lewis and Clark.

Evenoff scored 35.4 points in the all-around to lead a 1-2-3 Mead finish. Sophomore Ashley Dotson (34.9), the winner in the floor exercise and vault, and senior Micaline Tomeo (34.55), the winner on the balance beam, helped the Panthers toward their victorious score of 172.775. Shadle Park placed second at 164.025. Central Valley junior Maya Morgan won the uneven bars and placed fourth in the all-around.

Girls basketball

Riverside 50, Shadle Park 40: Angela Hartill scored 11 points to help the visiting Rams (4-0) defeat the Highlanders (1-5) in a non-league game. . … Pullman 51, Moscow 43: Jamie Thornton scored 25 points, shooting 9 of 12 from the line, to power the Greyhounds (3-1) past the visiting Bears (5-6). Moscow defeated Pullman 54-43 on Dec. 4.

Boys basketball

Moscow 34, Pullman 32: Brad Herrenbruck had seven rebounds and Alek Bentley added three steals to help the visiting Bears (5-0) hold off the Greyhounds (2-2) in a non-league game… . . Logos 37, Rosalia 31: Kyle McGarry scored all nine of his points in the second half to help the Knights rally past the host Spartans (2-4).
